The surgical fee includes the hospital stay, anaesthetic fees, surgeon’s fees, and post-operative care. This also covers two pre-operative consultations and four post-operative follow-up appointments, in addition to ongoing wound care management within the clinic.

In the early post-operative period, if a return to theatre is required, additional costs may be incurred depending on the nature of the return to theatre. However, any revision procedures performed under local anaesthetic are included within the original surgical fee.

Additional costs may arise if input from allied specialties is required. These will depend on the nature and complexity of the procedure, and it is important to have a detailed discussion to fully understand the process.

Natural changes in the body occur over time, including those related to ageing and weight fluctuations, particularly with the use of weight loss medications. It is important to maintain a stable weight following surgery to help preserve the long-term results.

If changes occur due to significant weight variation or other medical conditions, these are unlikely to be covered under the original surgical plan. Age and genetic factors can also influence healing and long-term outcomes, and these are important considerations when planning and maintaining results after surgery.
